Clear brackets
These are highly aesthetic brackets that have the same shape and function as traditional metal braces. Since they are made of ceramic or a crystal, they are translucent and thus show much less than metal braces.
They still work exactly the same way, and move teeth just as predictably and rapidly. However, since they cannot flex like stainless steel brackets, they may fracture during the course of treatment. They are also harder than tooth enamel, so the doctor will take extra care to ensure you aren’t biting on them directly.
