Our story

This is what makes us Oasis

I called my practice ‘Oasis’ because I wanted my patients and their families to feel at home.

Dr. Mark Knoefel working with a patient

Ever since Dr. Knoefel wore braces himself at age 13, he wanted to become an orthodontist. He felt that orthodontics combined his two passions: art and science. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from McGill University in 1995. After completing a general practice residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, he moved to Edmonton to obtain his Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Alberta in 1999.

Dr. Knoefel is passionate about making his patients feel comfortable and welcome at his practice. He speaks several languages, and loves greeting patients in their native tongue!

From being very self-conscious, to confident and proud of their smile – witnessing my patients’ transformation never gets old.

Outside of his work life, Dr. Knoefel has a family of four children with his wife, Line. Being a busy working father himself, Dr. Knoefel understands the fast-paced lifestyles of his patients, helping him to provide the best possible treatment experience for anyone that walks through the Oasis doors.

Dr. Knoefel will create a 3D simulation that enables you to see your new smile and bite transformation before treatment even starts. This simulation also helps Dr. Knoefel plan and design your care, and especially identify potential pitfalls before they occur.

Transform your smile and your life! Book your consultation today and begin your journey!
